how much does it roughly cost a day to vacation in the philippines, and are rental cars easily available?

i’m planning a trip to the philippines and need to know what the average decent motel room cost per night, rental car cost per day, and cost of average meals (man i hope they have a wendy’s “dollar menu ” or else i might have to cut my vacation short). i’m just trying to get a ball park figure, being that i’m planning on staying for about a month.

depends on the area you will be staying. Fair lodging $10-$25 per nite. Most place can get discount if you get by week or month. Rentals $20 plus per day same rule if get longer. Note public transportation cheap, consider. Food depends on type local cheap. U.S. Euro type cheaper then in home counties. Watch yourself many scams but can have a good time.

I have been to the Philippines three times. The hotel price will vary. I have spent $ 90.00 a day at the Tambuli Hotel. It is a nice beach resort hotel. I would recommend buying the Lonely Planet Philippine Guide book. It has prices on hotels and restaurants. It has extreme detail on the entire country. I never rented a car there. It is very easy to take a taxi, or jeepney or motorcycle. Public transportation is widely available. Local restaurants would be cheaper than international brand name restaurants.
